Finding your way after childhood trauma, neglect and abuse can seem like a scary and lonely path. As a therapist who has been in the mental health field for over 14 years, I will walk with you on your journey of self-healing.
Growing up in a family that was dysfunctional, unsafe and chaotic can deeply affect your relationships with others and your relationship with yourself. Life can present you with many challenges, such as social anxiety, problems with authority figures, difficulties with partners, low self-worth, an unrelenting inner critic, and emotional flashbacks.
My approach to therapy is person-centered (meeting you where you are) with elements of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (noticing and correcting negative thoughts), inner child work, and shrinking the inner critic.
My training has included working with Pete Walker ( www.pete-walker.com ), a therapist for over thirty-five years and author of the book Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving, for the last decade.
I do not accept insurance or write Super Bills or statements; however, I do offer a generous sliding scale. Currently sessions are done through an online video service that does not require a download or an app. This Telehealth option is easy to use and is secure.
Under the No Surprises Act, a Good Faith Estimate will be provided to clients upon request.
If you are interested, please call or email me. I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.
